The SAGLA Scoopers K-2 Lacrosse Program welcomes girls from Kindergarten through 2nd grade! 

The Scoopers program is geared to help our youngest players learn the basics of girl's lacrosse while having a TON OF FUN! Players go over the fundamentals of the game and play FUN games to work on those skills!  The program's success and future will continue to depend on the support of parent volunteers.

The Scoopers program continues to evolve.   The Scoopers 2nd Grade will have have the opportunity to participate in a local Play Day, and will compete against other local 2nd grade programs.

The K-1 and 2nd Grade Scoopers will each meet one night a week from 6:00 - 7:00 pm) at the Park Avenue Fields beginning in late March and continuing through mid-May. Players need a girl's lacrosse stick, a mouth guard and goggles.

Practices will be focused on:

  • Rules of the Game
  • Athletic Movement
  • Cradling
  • Ground Balls
  • Throwing/Catching
  • Shooting
  • Defensive Concepts
  • And Lots of FUN games in between!!!
